Koula Education offers private humanities tutoring for middle and high school students, along with selective admissions advising and essay development for college, graduate, and professional school applicants. All services are billed hourly.

Humanities Tutoring

Private instruction is available for middle and high school students in literature, history, close reading, essay development, humanities enrichment, and academic discussion.

For humanities tutoring students, preparation for the SAT Reading and Writing section and humanities-based AP exams can be integrated into regular sessions.

Hourly advising is available for students preparing to apply to college, including selective and writing-intensive schools.

Support may include application strategy, activities and summer project development, college list selection, personal statement development, supplemental essay revision, transfer applications, scholarship essays, and final application review.

Long-Range Mentorship

Long-range mentorship is available for 9th–11th grade students who are developing academic direction, extracurricular depth, leadership, and a coherent admissions profile over time.

Support may include course planning, reading and writing development, summer planning and program applications, extracurricular strategy, independent projects, and early college admissions positioning.

Graduate & Professional School Applications

Essay development and advising are available for applicants to master's programs, PhD programs, law school, MBA programs, dental school, and other professional programs.

Support may include statements of purpose, personal statements, perspective or diversity statements, optional essays, addenda, school-specific tailoring, resume/CV review, and final application review.

Initial Meeting

New families and applicants may begin with an initial meeting to discuss goals, fit, timeline, and scope of work.

Initial meetings are billed at the standard hourly rate of $100/hour. There is no separate consultation package or long-term commitment required.

Payment & Scheduling

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. For ongoing clients, invoices may be issued weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

Cancellations require 24 hours' notice. Missed sessions or late cancellations may be billed at the full session rate.
